Thanks for all your help Pam! Also what does h3k9me mean? I remember you said in 334 that we'll learn about it in 335, but we never did.

I thought the final exam was very hard. Craig said it'll be easy exam, but i don't think it was.
i think it was q5, it through me for a loop trying to decide which genes were autosomal heterozygous in the sperm. I put either B or D, but then I also put that B and D were linked...I have no idea i just hope we all passed
True, blame Craig for never telling you about chromatin anf h3k9...
H3K9me=methylated lysine 9 of histone H3. This modification tends to be found mainly on stretches of chromatin that are silent (they are packaged up in such a way that the DNA in there can't be transcribed, it can't be read and expressed). Heterochromatin (inactive/gene poor/often thought of as semi-junk) is usually enriched for H3K9me.
Here, one can take the "h3k9me" as: "be silent...concentrate and learn" or as "this looks like some incomprehensible junk".

when will we get our marks?
i think we'll get our mark tomorrow (Fri.). Craig told us that TA will finish marking by end of this week and hopefully we'll get mark tomorrow. Urgh..I don't want to know my mark. It was really hard exam.
